The Network was born from an urgent response to social and political upheavals threatening women’s rights worldwide.
Inspired by the iconic Italian painting Il quarto stato (1901) by Giuseppe Pellizza da Volpedo, I transformed the march of workers into a collective of women advancing in protest and solidarity. Figures drawn from myth and ancient goddesses—symbols of the enduring bond between humans and nature—merge with contemporary forms, their bodies woven together through root-like and cellular structures that evoke resilience and interdependence. Spirits appear alongside women, amplifying a shared voice long silenced by violence and neglect.
The work stands as both protest and celebration—a testament to collective empowerment and enduring solidarity.
